****Owing to the number of requests being received we are asking patients to provide 7 days for us to process a prescription rather than the usual 2 working days.****
****We are offering face to face appointments as well as telephone consultations as such if you wish to see a GP for a consultation please do let the reception team know when booking your appointment. Please note a GP may still ask to see you face-to -face following a telephone consultation if they deem it appropriate.****
****Travel vaccinations should be booked with the Surgery at least 6 weeks’ prior to travel.****

Medical Support Team At St Thomas' Surgery

District Nurses

Patients who are confined to their homes and need nursing assistance may arrange with their doctor for a District Nurse to call. The hospital will normally arrange for a nurse to call on patients discharged early who still require nursing treatment at home. District Nurses can be contacted by telephoning 01437 774309 and leaving a message on the Teams answer phone, alternatively you can ring the surgery telephone number on 01437 762162 and leave a message with one of our receptionists.

Midwifery Team
Midwifery care is shared with a consultant obstetrician. Contact details are available from reception. Further information is available when you book with your Midwife. The Practice has no facility for pregnancy testing.
Health Visitors
The Health Visitors attached to the practice can provide advice on health care, particularly to expectant mothers and small children. If you have a problem affecting your health they can put you in touch with sources of help. The Health Visitors may be contacted between 9.00 am – 10.00 am and 4.30 pm – 5.00 pm and can be reached on 01437 891749.
